Many books have been written and several documentary films made about the mystical village of Rennes-le-Chateau. And still more is being discovered and revealed. The area is known for the rich history (Cathars, Sauniere), the special energies of Mary Magdalene, the beautiful unspoiled nature (at the feet of the Pyrenees, mountain Bugarach, the Pech Cardou, the Fountain d'Amour) and off course the local food, rose and blanquette. This area is still very pure with a lot of rough nature.
